Jill Campbell Farris

Jill Farris grew up in a New Mexico hippie village along the banks of the Rio Grande river. Tagging along behind her older brother and sister, she witnessed first-hand the emptiness of a generation who had dropped out, drugged up and slept “in”.

When Jill was 18 she was confronted with the truth of the bible and realized she was a sinner in need of a Savior. Kneeling in a college dorm room, she repented of her sin and began to learn what it meant to follow the Lord Jesus Christ.

In 1982 Jill married Doug and for the past 30 years has followed him around the United States living in New Mexico, Oregon, North Carolina, Idaho and Washington.

Doug and Jill were members of JAARS (the technical support arm of Wycliffe Bible Translators) for eight years where Jill used her writing and speaking skills to communicate the exciting work of bible translation.

As a home educator since 1989, Jill has spoken at Home Education conferences, written for numerous magazines about education and parenting and has counseled many parents who are just beginning their home education journey.

Doug and Jill’s proudest accomplishment has been raising eight children for the Lord and growing deeper in love with each other over many years of marriage.

Because she entered marriage ill-equipped and unprepared, Jill’s heart beats for today’s woman who wants a joy-filled marriage and family but doesn’t know where to start. She finds great joy in counseling, exhorting and encouraging women privately and in conferences and workshops all over the United States.

Jill has a B.S. in Education/English from New Mexico State University.
